We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and promoting a more sustainable future. We have implemented several measures to minimize our environmental footprint, from reusing water to generating clean energy through our solar plant. As a result, we were recognized by ANAC as the “Most Sustainable Aerodrome in Brazil” for three consecutive times and received the Carbon Accreditation Certification by the International Airport Council (ACI), in addition to the ISO 14001 certificate that attests to the excellence of our Airline System. Our Environmental Initiatives
Promoting the transition to a greener and more responsible future
As a premise established in the environmental policy, Manaus Airport is committed to managing electricity consumption, aiming for reduction through energy efficiency, in addition to prioritizing the use of clean or less polluting energies. The goal is to reduce electricity consumption by 5% by 2030.
The Manaus Airport, in line with the environmental policy of the VINCI Airports Group, is committed to mapping and reducing greenhouse gas emissions to meet the requirements for obtaining Airport Carbon Accreditation, with the goal of reducing our carbon footprint by 66% by 2030.
To achieve this, the airport is in the process of implementing measures to obtain Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA). Initiatives such as raising awareness among the airport community and passengers, as well as optimizing resources and adopting less polluting equipment, are also underway, according to the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Report.

As a premise established in the network's environmental policy, Manaus Airport is committed to reducing potable water consumption by 50% by 2030, following the principle of conserving natural resources.
To achieve this, water consumption is monitored by source, along with constant inspections to identify leaks. Another measure implemented is the installation of aerator nozzles and timers on faucets in the passenger terminal and administrative areas, as well as conducting awareness activities for the airport community and passengers.
Based on VINCI Airports' environmental policy of being Zero Landfill by 2030, Manaus Airport aims to recycle or reuse 100% of the waste generated in its operations.
To achieve this, a solid waste management system has been restructured for better valorization and processing, promoting partnerships with cooperatives and waste pickers' associations for socio-environmental development and adherence to the concept of a circular economy.
The airport sector faces a major environmental challenge, requiring responsible action. Based on this, VINCI Airports was the first airport operator to adopt an international environmental strategy in 2016.
The Group has commitments that impact our policies and culture, always emphasizing sustainability. Thus, Manaus Airport has the responsibility to meet these environmental commitments, which go beyond the requirements of legal standards, as can also be seen in our environmental policy.

The Manaus Airport is committed to reducing atmospheric pollutant emissions to prevent harmful effects on human health and the environment. Therefore, we are committed to a 2% reduction in the air quality index (AQI) <= 40 as established by the Environmental Protection Agency by 2030.
To achieve this goal, air quality is monitored periodically to ensure compliance with the established parameters, and control measures have been implemented to reduce equipment pollutants, as outlined in the Pollutant Inventory Report.

Manaus Airport is committed to complying with the guidelines established in the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation No. 161, amendment No. 03, in addition to reducing aircraft noise, setting a target to reduce the impacted area by 1% by 2030.
To achieve this, the Specific Noise Zoning Plan (PEZR) was structured and the Aeronautical Noise Management Commission (CGRA) was established, with the participation of public agencies, internal collaborators, neighborhood associations, and airlines. The commission addresses topics such as: noise complaints, communications to authorities and the public, identification of incompatible activities, and suggestions for improvements through indicators for planning, municipal land use restriction, and compliance with the (RBAC 161).
