Prepare your luggage
When preparing your luggage, be aware of items that are prohibited or whose transport is allowed with restrictions. The rules aim to ensure safety in air transportation. The regulations for transporting different types of items may also vary depending on the airline and the country to which you are traveling. In case of doubt, consult your airline.

Prohibited Items
- Neutralizing devices — items specifically intended to stun or immobilize, including:
Chemical, neutralizing or incapacitating gases and aerosols, such as pepper spray, tear gas, acid sprays, and animal repellent aerosols, among others.
- Explosive or incendiary substances and devices — explosive or incendiary materials and items that can or appear to be able to cause serious injury or threaten the safety of the aircraft, including:
Replicas or imitations of explosive devices;
Fireworks and other pyrotechnic articles;
Substances subject to spontaneous combustion;
Flammable liquids, such as gasoline, ethanol, methanol, diesel oil, and lighter fluid;
Aerosols and atomizers, except those for medical or personal hygiene use, not exceeding four bottles per person and the content,
in each bottle, being less than 300 ml or 300 g;
Torch lighters, regardless of size. Among others.
- Chemical, toxic substances and other dangerous items — capable of threatening the health of people on board the aircraft or the safety of the aircraft itself, including:
Chlorine for pools and bathtubs; Liquid bleaches;
Oxidizing substances, such as lime powder, chemical bleach, and peroxides;
Corrosive substances, such as acids and alkaloids;
Poisonous (toxic) and infectious substances, such as insecticides; Among others
May be transported with restrictions
- Medications — are allowed in carry-on luggage, provided they are accompanied by a medical prescription;
- Firearms and ammunition — can be checked, according to procedures outlined in ANAC Resolution No. 461/2018. For more information, visit: https://www.anac.gov.br/assuntos/passageiros/o-que-posso-transportar.
- Toys or objects that resemble weapons — allowed only in checked luggage;
- Sharp objects, cutting tools or tools — allowed only in checked luggage;
- Liquids, aerosols, and gels — must be carried in containers with a capacity of up to 100 ml and together must not exceed a total capacity of one liter;
- Blunt instruments — objects that can cause serious injury if used to physically assault someone, including: baseball, golf, hockey, snooker, and billiard cues, batons, clubs, and retractable batons, blunt martial arts equipment, brass knuckles - are allowed only in checked luggage;
- Pens, pencils, and mechanical pencils — less than 15 cm in length;
- Lighters with gas or fluid — less than 8 cm in length, with a maximum quantity of one per person;
- Matches — in a package with a capacity of no more than 40 matches, with a maximum quantity of one box per person.
