Manaus Airport, managed by the Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, a member of the VINCI Airports network, in conjunction with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Visit Florida, and GOL Linhas Aéreas, held a training session for operators and travel agents from Manaus focusing on the Florida destination. Next month, the airport will resume operating direct flights from Manaus to Miami.

The training session included participation from Visit Florida representative Rafaella Cross Brown; Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau representative Tathiana Leal; and GOL Linhas Aéreas international account manager Vinícius Batista. Through this initiative, the VINCI Airports network reinforces its commitment to contributing to regional development and local air transport.

In total, 45 tourism operators and agents participated in the training, which provided information on tourist attractions, cultural programming, tourism programs, accommodations, and leisure options in the American state, as well as details about the direct Manaus-Miami flight, which will begin operation by GOL Linhas Aéreas starting December 17.

Among the participants was the director of the Capri Turismo Agency, Caroline Porto. For her, the information obtained is essential for companies, positively impacting the sale of packages. In Caroline's opinion, the return of flights is encouraging for the sector in this post-pandemic phase. She reveals that she is excited about the possibility of forming travel groups from Manaus again.

The Marketing & Air Promotion Manager of the Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, Marcus Campos, highlighted: “This initiative is extremely important because we have the same goal and we are together on this path to promote the development of flights and increasingly expand both national and international offers. We want to connect more and more people, and certainly, other actions like this will occur soon at our airports.”

In December, the airport will have two weekly direct round-trip flights to Miami. The flight will last 5h55 and will occur on Wednesdays and Saturdays, departing Manaus at 12:30 PM and landing in Miami at 5:25 PM (local time). The return occurs at 7:00 PM, with landing in Manaus scheduled for 1:55 AM the next day. In addition to this, direct flights to Fort Lauderdale (USA) will also begin in December by Azul Linhas Aéreas, along with the flight to Panama by Copa Airlines, which had its offer expanded this year.
