Manaus Airport inaugurates an automated system for access to the domestic boarding lounge in the passenger terminal

• This is the initial phase of the terminal works under the management of the Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia.

• Greater convenience and security, and the implementation of an automated system to reduce queues, are the immediate results of this intervention.

• Improvements are provided for in the concession contract with ANAC.
 

Following the purpose of developing the connectivity and infrastructure of the terminals where it operates, the Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, a member of the VINCI Airports network, inaugurates on May 12, at 2 PM, with the presence of state and municipal authorities of Amazonas, an automated and exclusive system for access to domestic boarding, in addition to the restructuring for international boarding at Manaus Airport (Aeroporto de Manaus).

The modernization and improvement actions in the passenger access area are provided for in the concession contract signed with the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), and are part of the first phase of the sequence of works that will be carried out at the Manaus terminal over the next 17 months.

The Manaus Airport now features a modern automated boarding pass authentication system, the BCBP (Bar-Coded Boarding Pass). The technology will allow domestic flight passengers to access the terminal's restricted areas in a safe, practical, and fast manner, which will result in reduced queues and greater flow for passengers. The access channel for international flights has undergone restructuring with passenger flow adjustments.
