This Tuesday, the 1st, Manaus Airport welcomed a group of elderly people served by the Doutor Thomas Foundation (FDT). Participants had the opportunity to explore the airport's operational area, accessing the runway and visiting the Fire Fighting Section (SCI), a unit of the Fire Department operating at the airport. The initiative promotes social inclusion and interaction with the community.
The Doutor Thomas Foundation provides assistance to elderly people in situations of social risk, often without family ties or with a history of violence. The activity offered a unique experience, contributing to the promotion of well-being and quality of life for the elderly.
During the visit, participants experienced a bit of the airport universe, observed landings and takeoffs, and learned about equipment and activities carried out by firefighters at the airport.
The Communications Manager of Vinci Airports in Brazil, Daniela Franco, emphasizes: "Special moments like this are a way to value this audience, promote their inclusion and social well-being. It is a pleasure to be able to provide this. We are always open to initiatives that generate a positive impact and strengthen our bond with the community."
