Manaus Airport to offer new service reducing international purchase delivery to up to seven days

- New Cargo Terminal service expected to boost e-commerce;

- In November, the airport received authorization from Anac to start the service, which is now under review by the Federal Revenue Service; 

- The new service will benefit consumers and companies involved in the importation of goods.

Manaus Airport, managed by the Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, part of the VINCI Airports network, is expected to launch a new courier service — international express delivery — in the first quarter of 2026, which promises to significantly reduce the delivery time for purchases made on marketplaces. Currently, orders destined for Amazonas can take up to 60 days to reach the consumer. With the new service, this timeframe is expected to drop to around seven days.

The initiative is part of a package of improvements that the Concessionaire has been implementing at the Manaus Cargo Terminal (TECA), aiming to promote positive impacts on the local economy. The service aims to boost e-commerce and facilitate the import process for consumers and companies in the state. In November of this year, Manaus Airport received authorization from the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) to carry out the procedures. The process now moves to the final stages with the Federal Revenue Service, responsible for the specific customs clearance necessary for such operations.

Products coming from Asia or the United States usually pass through the USA, then São Paulo, followed by Curitiba, which is the main base of the Postal Service, before finally reaching Manaus. With the operation implemented at the Manaus TECA, international orders will be processed directly in the capital. 

The Cargo Terminal Manager, Thiago Brandão, emphasizes: “The cargo terminal is already a benchmark for speed in cargo processing in Brazil, and with the new service, it will also be possible to connect international cargo to consumers in Amazonas much more quickly. We have no doubt that it will be an important tool that will help us transform the reality of the sector in the region and further boost our country's economy.”
