Between September 15 and 26, the airports in the VINCI Airport network in Brazil will promote Environment Week, a special program to engage employees and partner companies in sustainable practices. The actions reinforce the commitment to generate a positive socio-environmental impact, one of the company's pillars. In the Amazon, activities will take place at the airports of Manaus, Tefé, and Tabatinga (AM), Boa Vista (RR), Porto Velho (RO), Cruzeiro do Sul, and Rio Branco (AC).
One of the highlights of the program will be World Cleanup Day, with cleanup campaigns on beaches and streams in Manaus and Salvador, with the participation of employees and representatives of partner companies.
Lectures, workshops, and games are also part of the program. This year, the event will feature the use of an exclusive gaming platform on environmental topics, where airport employees can participate in challenges and training, accumulate points, and compete for prizes. For outsourced companies, there will be a quiz, encouraging the adoption of good practices and alignment with the socio-environmental goals established by the company.
Another highlight of the week will be lectures on strategic topics, such as “The Impacts of Climate Change on Airport Activities” and “Biodiversity Trafficking,” as well as a kokedama-making workshop at the airports of Manaus and Porto Velho. In Boa Vista, Rio Branco, Tefé, and Tabatinga, the activity will be the production of ecological soap, while in Cruzeiro do Sul, Tefé, and Tabatinga, a training session on home composting will be offered.
On the 16th, the launch of the Sustainable Partner program will take place, with representatives from partner companies, focusing on the implementation of sustainability criteria in airport operations.
