 - The tourist reception will feature a fair of artisanal products, an exhibition of costumes, and cultural performances;

 - This initiative is an important promotional support for the Parintins Festival and is expected to impact over 100,000 passengers passing through the airport during the period;

 - In addition to cultural activities, Manaus Airport has reinforced its operational structure for the travel period to the Garantido and Caprichoso Festival.

Starting this Wednesday (06/18), Manaus International Airport, part of VINCI Airports, is launching a special operation for the 2025 Parintins Folkloric Festival. With the expectation of receiving over 200 commercial flights exclusively for the largest cultural event in Amazonas, the airport has set up a special operational plan and will launch a tourist reception with a series of activities to provide unique experiences for travelers during this period.

The reception will feature, for the first time, a Creative Economy Fair offering artisanal products, workshops for micro-entrepreneurs, free boi-bumbá shows for the public, an exhibition of boi costumes, and interactive spaces throughout the airport. The program is in partnership with the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, Amazonastur, and the Executive Secretariat of Labor and Entrepreneurship. It is expected that more than 100,000 people, both Brazilian and foreign, will be impacted by the program, which will take place for free from June 18 to 27.

Held from June 28 to 30, the Parintins Festival attracts thousands of participants to the Tupinambarana Island and is one of the busiest periods at Manaus Airport.

The flight network has been expanded with extra commercial flights between Manaus and Parintins. The volume of passengers departing from the Amazonian capital to Parintins is expected to increase by more than 10% with commercial and general aviation flights. The peak travel period will occur between June 25 and 30.

Enhanced Security

To accommodate this increase in passenger flow, Manaus Airport has reinforced its operational team, with special attention to cleaning services, customer service, and public information. The security forces, including the Federal Police and Military Police, will have the support of the terminal's video monitoring system.

Baggage inspection, access control to restricted areas, and patrolling in public areas will also be intensified.

Airport as a Window for Tourism Promotion

The main objectives of the Creative Economy Fair to be held this year at Manaus Airport are tourism promotion and boosting the local economy. In addition to showcasing and selling their products, micro-entrepreneurs will participate in business-focused workshops. The initiative follows the company's cultural code of transforming the airports under its management into development portals that connect regions, stimulate the local economy, and strengthen tourism.

The Operations Manager of Manaus Airport, Overlach Campos, highlights: "The special operation we set up for the Parintins Festival reflects our commitment to valuing local culture and enhancing passenger experience. By promoting cultural performances and the fair with regional micro-entrepreneurs, we are connecting cultures and territories, stimulating the creative economy, and celebrating diversity. More than just a point of departure or arrival, we want the airport to be a space of culture, hospitality, and inspiration.”
