Global CEO of VINCI Airports visits the company's airports in the Amazon

- Rémi Maumon will visit the airports of Manaus, Tabatinga, and Tefé, Porto Velho, and Rio Branco;

- Since taking over airport management in the Northern Region, the French company has promoted the largest investment package in the sector's history, with over R$ 1.4 billion;

- Rémi Maumon took office last year and is visiting the airports in the region for the first time.

The global CEO of VINCI Airports, Rémi Maumon de Longevialle, visited, between March 2 and 5, five airports managed by the Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia in Northern Brazil. This is the executive's first official visit to the Amazon airports since taking office in February last year. 

The itinerary includes the airports of Manaus, Tefé, and Tabatinga, in Amazonas, as well as the airports of Porto Velho and Rio Branco. During his stay in Brazil, he was welcomed by the CEO of VINCI Airports in Brazil, Julio Ribas, and the CEO of Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, Kleyton Mendes, met with local managers, met employees and operational areas of the airports, followed the operations, ongoing projects, recent results, and the culture of the Amazonian cities.

Since 2022, VINCI Airports has managed seven airports in the Northern region. In the Northern region, the company also manages the airports of Boa Vista and Rio Branco. In Brazil, the company is also responsible for managing the Salvador airport in Bahia. 

In recent years, VINCI Airports has implemented the largest investment package in modernization and expansion of operational capacity in the Northern region, with over R$1.4 billion applied in construction, equipment acquisition, and technological modernization to adapt regional structures to the company's global standards of excellence. The measures are fully aligned with the company's commitment to further connect the region, transform passenger experience, and contribute to the development of tourism and the local economy. 

In VINCI Airports' global portfolio are more than 70 terminals in different countries. At the helm of the company, Rémi Maumon has led initiatives focused on innovation, sustainability, and improving passenger experience. He holds a degree in engineering from École Polytechnique and ENSAE Paris and a master's degree in Public Policy from Sciences-Po Paris. He joined VINCI Airports in 2012 and held the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) before assuming the executive presidency.
