Manaus Airport surpasses 3.3 million passengers in 2025 and sets a historic record

- The number of passengers was 14% higher than the previous year, driven mainly by the growth of domestic routes;

Manaus Airport, managed by the Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, part of the VINCI Airports network, ended 2025 with a historic result - a 14% increase in passenger volume. The airport handled 3.356 million passengers between January and December, achieving the best result in the historical series. The increased demand for domestic routes throughout the year drove the growth.

The numbers reflect joint efforts with the public authorities, airlines, and tourism-related entities, in addition to investments made by the Concessionaire, which took over the airport's management in 2022. Since then, it has implemented a series of structural and operational improvements that modernized the terminal, expanded its service capacity, and enhanced operational efficiency, focusing on adapting the airport to international standards of quality, safety, and passenger experience.

The progress in Manaus was also reflected in the number of air operations. Throughout 2025, the airport recorded 31.4 thousand commercial flights, an increase of 4.5% compared to 2024, mainly driven by the expansion of airline networks and the growing demand for destinations in the Northern Region. Among the most sought-after routes are those from Manaus to Confins (MG), Fortaleza (CE), and Porto Velho (RO). 

Regional events and the strengthening of tourism also played a significant role in this historic result. During the 2025 Parintins Folklore Festival, considered the largest cultural event in Amazonas, the airport received more than 200 exclusive commercial flights. Starting in September, Manaus Airport began receiving thousands of national and international tourists attracted by the sport fishing season, which continues until February 2026. In December, the high season began, with 206 extra flights until the end of January. 

The CEO of the Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, Kleyton Mendes, highlights: “The numbers reflect that we are on the right path, contributing to the attraction of new flights and the growth of routes, strengthening these operations. We always act guided by our greater purpose of further connecting this region and transforming the passenger experience.”

Global performance of VINCI Airport

Globally, in 2025, VINCI Airports received more than 334 million passengers, representing an additional 16 million travelers in one year (+5% compared to 2024). This strong growth reaffirms the company's position as the world's largest private airport operator and aligns with the general trend of increasing air traffic.

In addition to the annual results, the fourth quarter of 2025 also showed an increase in traffic (+3.2%) compared to the same period in 2024, confirming a robust pace in various regions.

Several European airports continue to register very strong growth, such as those in Budapest and Edinburgh, Belgrade, Porto, London Gatwick, and Lyon.

In Latin America and Africa, several airports recorded accelerated traffic this quarter. In Brazil, Salvador da Bahia recorded traffic records in the fourth quarter, driven by the expansion of GOL and long-distance traffic supported by TAP and Air Europa.
