Airports in the Amazon operated by VINCI Airports support cultural, sports, and educational projects in the Northern region

● Among the supported initiatives are projects in Manaus, Porto Velho, and Boa Vista;
● Actions include music, social inclusion through sports, and encouragement of reading;               
● Projects reinforce the company's commitment to community development.

Reaffirming its commitment to generating a positive impact in the communities where it operates, the Concessionaire of the Amazon Airports, part of the VINCI Airports network, supports, in 2026, initiatives that promote culture, sports, education, and social inclusion in the Northern region. The actions, carried out in Manaus (AM), Porto Velho (RO), and Boa Vista (RR), contribute to expanding opportunities, strengthening local development, and bringing airports closer to the communities that are part of their history and future.

The initiatives are part of the company's commitment to a more sustainable future and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), connecting its actions to generating a positive impact for people and the territories where it is present.

In Manaus, one of the supported projects is the Amazon Symphony Orchestra (OSA), a group founded in 2024 and composed of about 50 musicians. The orchestra is in the pre-production phase of the Amazon Series, which includes four concerts, as well as lectures and open rehearsals with participating schools. The first concert is scheduled for September 9, at 8 PM, at the Amazonas Theater. 

In Porto Velho, the Mais Judô III project will offer free judo classes for children and adolescents from public schools, focusing on social inclusion in vulnerable areas. The initiative is in the implementation phase, with the hiring of the team responsible for execution and the start of student registration. The initial forecast is to serve 200 students in the municipality.

In Boa Vista, the Reading Laboratory project plans to set up a reading and learning room in a municipal school. The space will be structured to strengthen reading skills, cognitive development, and students' connection with knowledge, gathering a collection, qualified mediation, and educational practices. The project is in the book acquisition phase, after a technical visit and school validation, with the inauguration scheduled for October.    

The CEO of the Concessionaire of the Amazon Airports, Kleyton Mendes, emphasizes: “We understand that the connections we promote go far beyond the runways and terminals. It also happens when we can be close to the communities that are part of our reality. Supporting projects like these is believing in the potential of each child, each young person, and each family, and creating opportunities that can open new paths and transform lives. Looking to the future, for us, also means taking care of people and contributing so that they can grow, dream, and be protagonists of their own stories.”

Incentives began in 2025

This is the second year that the Concessionaire supports important social and cultural initiatives in the region. In 2025, the cities of Tefé, Tabatinga, and Cruzeiro do Sul were the first beneficiaries with reading laboratories, structured by CEC Brasil, supported by the concessionaire. The project involved a total investment of R$ 1.2 million, via the Culture Incentive Law, and is benefiting more than 3,000 students and teachers.

In Manaus, the concessionaire also supported actions by the Institute of Sport and Education (IEE), through the Sports Law, with the annual training of physical education teachers, indirectly benefiting about 2,000 children and young people from public schools. In the Trilhando Sonhos Project, with support via the Children's Fund, the Renovar Institute is training adolescents in vulnerable situations, offering professional qualification and emotional support.

By directing investments towards education, culture, sports, and social inclusion, the Concessionaire reinforces its commitment to the sustainable development of the Amazon and contributes to SDGs related to quality education, reducing inequalities, and building more inclusive communities.
