Manaus Airport Cargo sets record in July with 11.6 thousand tons handled

• Freight volume grew 15% compared to July 2025 and surpassed the record set in 2024
• Domestic freight destined for Manaus advanced 41%, reaching 6.1 thousand tons
• The result stands out for occurring in a month traditionally marked by a reduction in industrial activity

The Manaus Airport Cargo, managed by Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, a member of the VINCI Airports network, handled 11.6 thousand tons in July 2026, an increase of 15% compared to the same month in 2025 and a new record for July, surpassing the mark set in 2024, during the severe drought in Amazonas.

The result was 29% above the historical average of 9 thousand tons for July, a period that usually shows lower movement due to the collective vacations of some of the main industries in the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM). The highlight was the domestic freight destined for Manaus, which reached 6,093 tons, a growth of 41% over July 2025 and 52% above the historical average for the month.

In imports, the total volume remained stable, while the five largest clients in the electronics segment recorded an increase of approximately 30% in the weight of freight handled. The result occurs in a scenario of signals of new model production and increased sales in the sector.

The general cargo manager of VINCI Airports for the Amazon airports, Luciana Procoro, emphasized: “Achieving this result in a historically low movement month reinforces the importance of air transport for the logistics of the industry and the supply of Manaus. We continue working to expand connectivity and offer more efficiency to companies that depend on the air mode.”

Terminal expands connectivity

The record occurs at a time of expanding connectivity for Manaus Airport Cargo. In August, the airport began offering the first regular international cargo route between Manaus and Lima, Peru, creating new connection possibilities with markets on the Pacific Coast and the Andean region and new alternatives for cargo import and export.

The terminal also maintains international operations connecting Manaus to Miami, Bogotá, Panama, and Lisbon. The new connections are part of the strategy of Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia to expand the logistical alternatives available to the market and strengthen Manaus's integration into international trade chains.

The third largest cargo terminal in Brazil, Manaus Airport Cargo plays a strategic role in meeting the logistical demands of the Manaus Free Trade Zone. The performance in July reinforces this position at a time of expanding international connectivity and preparation for new operations aimed at e-commerce.
