  • With the campaign “Folklore Connects Us,” about the Parintins Festival, the concessionaire won the Aberje 2025 award;
  • The campaign is also a finalist for the Jatobá Award, which recognizes communication actions throughout Brazil;
  • Another finalist is the campaign for the launch of the Évare project, aimed at indigenous people in Tabatinga.

The Amazon Airports Concessionaire, a member of the VINCI Airports network, was the big winner of the Aberje North and Northeast Award 2025, with the project “Folklore Connects Us,” a project that transformed Manaus Airport into a space for celebrating Amazonian culture during the Parintins Folkloric Festival. Held in June, the project brought art, music, and tradition to the airport environment, impacting more than 80,000 people, including passengers and visitors, in 2025 alone.

The Brazilian Association of Business Communication (Aberje) Award is the most important corporate communication award in Brazil. The recognition highlights the concessionaire's commitment to integrating the passenger experience with the cultural identity of the region, strengthening tourism, the economy, and promoting the appreciation of local traditions.

With institutional support from the Government of Amazonas, through AmazonasTur, the Executive Secretariat of Labor and Entrepreneurship (Setemp), and the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy (SEC), the initiative allowed those passing through the airport to have a true immersion in the colors and sounds of the festival. The program included cultural performances, an exhibition of the costumes of the bulls Garantido and Caprichoso, a creative economy fair, artistic interventions, dances, Instagrammable spaces, and even an unprecedented flash mob in partnership with Azul Linhas Aéreas, the official airline of the event.

Developed by the concessionaire's communication team, with press advisory from Três Comunicação e Marketing agency, the proposal of “Folklore Connects Us” is to bring the public closer to the symbolic richness of the Parintins Festival, considered one of the greatest cultural spectacles in Brazil. The project reinforced the role of the airport as a point of connection between peoples, stories, and emotions, uniting communication, art, and hospitality.

Finalist for the Jatobá Award

The campaign “Folklore Connects Us” is also a finalist in the North/Northeast regional category of the Jatobá Award, one of the most important in the country, which recognizes communication and public relations projects and professionals for actions of excellence and innovation.

Of the four finalist projects in the category, two are from the Amazon Airports Concessionaire, with press advisory from Três Comunicação. The other finalist is the campaign that promoted the Évare project, which offers free computer courses for young indigenous people of the Tikuna tribe, in a structured laboratory at Tabatinga Airport, also part of the VINCI Airports network.

Launched in 2024, the project, which has already benefited 60 indigenous people, is carried out in partnership with the Amazonas Technological Education Center (Cetam) and is aligned with the company's social pillars that seek to generate a positive legacy for society, directly impacting the local community.

Indigenous people from the Umariaçu I and II communities, located near the airport, participate in the project. Respecting local identity, the project's communication campaign included the dissemination of material in the Tikuna language, with spots broadcasted in mobile vehicles to expand the reach of the information.

 The communication manager of VINCI Airports in Brazil highlights: "These projects well reflect two major commitments that guide us: transforming the passenger experience by connecting them to this rich culture that the Parintins Festival showcases to the world; and promoting socio-environmental actions that allow transforming the reality of communities, such as the Tikunas of Tabatinga. We are very happy to have these actions recognized. It is an incentive to continue with more initiatives in this direction."
