Manaus Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, gained a new commercial flight option to the interior of Amazonas this April. The flight, which occurs twice a week, allows connections between the capital and the cities of Apuí and Manicoré, located in the south of Amazonas.

Operated by Apuí Táxi Aéreo, the flight, which takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, departs from Manaus to Apuí and from there to Manicoré. Tickets are already available for purchase on the company's official website at voeapui.com.br. In Manaus, Azul Linhas Aéreas also offers flights to the same destinations.

In the second half of 2023, Manaus was identified in a survey by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) as the Brazilian capital with the most flights to destinations within its own state. In total, commercial flights are offered to 14 locations in the interior of the state, which are: Tabatinga, Parintins, Tefé, Coari, Apuí, Manicoré, Borba, Eirunepé, São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Barcelos, Maués, Carauari, Porto Urucu, and Santa Isabel do Rio Negro.

The Marketing and Air Promotion Manager of VINCI Airports in Brazil, Marcus Campos, highlights: “We are committed to diversifying the options of airlines and destinations at Manaus Airport, considering the pragmatism of aviation for people's mobility in the Amazon region. We are even investing in preparing all our infrastructure to provide our passengers with even more positive travel experiences.”
